⚠️ RULES ⚠️
Greetings, explorer! Whether you’re here to mine, build, farm, or just hang out, we’re so excited to have you join our world. HalsirMC is a place for creativity, adventure, and good vibes—and to keep it that way, we’ve laid down some ground rules. They’re here to ensure everyone has a fair and fun experience, so let’s dive in!
ESSENTIALS
- BE RESPECTFUL – Follow the “Platinum Rule”. Treat everyone with kindness and empathy. This is a community not a battlefield.
- PLAY FAIR – NO cheats, NO shortcuts, and NO game breaking glitches. Let us all enjoy the game the way it is meant to be played.
- LISTEN TO STAFF – Staff are here to help keep things running smoothly. The staff here volunteer their free time to the server. Treat them with the utmost respect!
DETAILS
- NO GRIEFING OR RAIDING – Respect is the name of the game. If you didn’t build it, don’t mess with it—whether it’s claimed or not. That dirt shack might not look like much to you, but it could be someone’s first masterpiece. If you’re unsure, ask a staff member for guidance. And hey, if you’re planning to be away for a while, let us know so we can keep your stuff safe!
TL;DR: Don’t mess with what isn’t yours, even if it’s unclaimed. - BE RESPECTFUL – Think of HalsirMC as a cozy campfire where everyone’s welcome. No insults, no offensive builds, no chat meltdowns. Swearing? Keep it casual. Spamming? Save it for your keyboard warrior dreams. And let’s steer clear of heavy topics like politics or personal issues in public chat—this is your escape, not a debate club.
TL;DR: Be nice, keep it light, and let’s keep the drama for llamas.- Racism, sexual harassment, and predatory behavior will not be tolerated and should be reported to staff ASAP.
- Racism, sexual harassment, and predatory behavior will not be tolerated and should be reported to staff ASAP.
- NO ADVERTISING – Love other servers? Cool! Love HalsirMC? Even cooler! Feel free to share your stories about other places, but don’t drop invites, IPs, or promos in public chat. If you want to share privately with a friend, that’s fine—just make sure it’s welcome.
TL;DR: Share experiences, not IP addresses. - PLAY FAIR – Mods that enhance your experience (like shaders or performance boosters) are totally fine. Mods that give you superpowers (like x-ray vision or auto-mining)? Not so much. If you’re ever unsure about a mod, just ask a staff member. Honesty goes a long way here.
TL;DR: Keep it fair, keep it fun. - NO EXPLOITS – If you stumble upon a bug or glitch, congrats! But don’t exploit it. Instead, report it to the staff so we can keep the game balanced. Bonus points (and maybe even a little reward) for being a responsible player.
TL;DR: Report bugs; don’t abuse them. - AFK AND ALT ACCOUNTS – We understand you may need to step away occasionally, and our AFK timer is generous. However, using tricks like AFK pools or macros to avoid being kicked isn’t allowed.
We do allow one alternate account per player, but there are rules. Your alt can only be used for AFKing and cannot engage in unfair activities like voting, claiming kits, participating in events, pretending to be someone else, or using the economy. Let’s keep the game fair for everyone.
TL;DR: One alt for AFKing is fine, but no sneaky tricks or unfair advantages. - ENGLISH ONLY IN PUBLIC CHAT – To keep things inclusive, public chat is English-only. Feel free to use other languages in private messages or DMs as long as the other person can share in the conversation equally, but let’s keep the main channels easy for everyone to understand.
TL;DR: Public chat = English. PMs / DMs = Anything goes. - CLAIM RESPONSIBLY – There’s plenty of space for everyone, so let’s be good neighbors. Leave about 150 blocks between your claim and others unless you’ve agreed otherwise. If you’re building near a shared area like a town, follow the specific rules for that space.
TL;DR: Be considerate with your claims and give everyone room to breathe. - KEEP THE WORLD BEAUTIFUL – Nobody likes stumbling across floating trees, random dirt towers, or cobblestone graffiti. Clean up after yourself and use the designated resource areas for gathering materials. Let’s keep HalsirMC looking as stunning as the day you joined.
TL;DR: Don’t be messy. Be awesome instead.
LORE & RELIGION RULES
1. Official Halsir Canon Comes First
Official canon includes staff-approved lore, server events, major builds, NPCs, announcements, and recorded server history. Player-made lore, religions, towns, prophecies, and backstories cannot contradict official canon.
2. Player Religions Are Allowed, But They Are Not Automatically Canon
Players may create fictional religions, temples, cults, orders, traditions, myths, and belief systems. These are considered local player lore unless staff approves them as official Halsir canon.
3. Do Not Powergame Through Lore
Lore cannot give players special powers, immunity, authority, land rights, commands, rank, divine status, or control over others. Players may not claim they created Halsir, own the Firstroot, built the Hall of Oaths, rule the world, or are the central figure of server history without staff approval.
4. Do Not Force Lore Onto Other Players
Players may invite others into their lore, but they may not force conversion, curses, prophecies, soul claims, possession, bloodlines, marriages, deaths, or backstory onto another player without that player’s consent.
5. Keep Lore Fictional, Respectful, and Staff-Approved When Needed
Halsir lore should not directly copy, mock, or roleplay real-world religions, religious figures, sacred texts, or active religious conflicts. Major world events, ancient history, server-wide prophecies, divine wars, or claims involving the Firstroot or Hall of Oaths require staff approval.
